Ich habe schon einiges von der Welt gesehen – sei es nun durch Urlaubsreisen oder das Leben direkt vor Ort in anderen Ländern - und dies hat mir einen grossen Einblick in diese Länder und Kulturen ermöglicht. Ich liebe es die Einflüsse um mich herum aufzunehmen, alles was ich durch meine Augen, Geschmack, Geruch und die vor Ort gegebenen Stimmung erhaschen kann – all dies nehme ich auf und verarbeite dies in meinen Bildern oder erfasse mit meiner Kamera diese Momente für spätere Kunstwerke.
Ich habe eine ganz spezielle Art und Weise mit Aquarell umzugehen – eine geradezu einzigartige und aussagefähige Technik. Meine charkteristische Maltechnik versperrt sich der Dynamik des dargestellten Motivs. Jeder der unendlich vielen, kleinen Pinselstriche beharrt auf den verlängerten Stillstand einer konzentrierten Momentaufnahme, der Akt des kuenstlerischen Gestaltens beginnt bereits mit der Auswahl des Motivs für die Fotovorlage, welche ich selbst anfertige. Alle Motive sind in meinem direkten Umfeld zu finden und mir entsprechend vertraut.

As you can see I have really moved around the globe which has given me a great insight into other countries and their cultures. As an artists I love to pick up on the influences around me, through my sense of vision, taste, smell and intake of the local ambience which add to my adventures when I then paint or catch these moments with my camera for future motives.
My way of watercolour painting has a special touch to it as I use watercolour in a rather unique and expressive manner. The characteristic painting technique obstructs the dynamics of the depicted subject. Every one of the countless small brush strokes concentrates on the lengthened stopped action of a momentary photo, the artistic process begins with the selection of a motive for the photographic model which I produce myself. All motives can be found in my immediate environment and thus offer a corresponding degree in familiarity. Without sacrificing even the slightest trace of realism or attention of detail, I try to banish all anecdotal elements from the picture and give the motives a timeless, placeless classicism.
